At The Races

Kinky Frolic has come home second five times this year and looks all set to do so again here barring any improvement. Miss Bee Hiving ran her best race yet when third to Flava's Dream at the beginning of the month and could also get involved, but she was four lengths behind runner-up DEEMED ESSENTIAL that day. If Ronney Brown's Upstart filly can repeat that run, she may well be the one to beat.

GRAND FIBER drops in grade after finishing fourth in an Allowance race here last month, and that may be all he needs to get back to winning ways. Kickin' Kirby was a good second here last time out and looks the most obvious danger, though Truth Serum was only a neck behind him that day and may well reverse that form if getting going earlier.

Dark Honey takes a drop in grade after being beaten a long way in a far better contest at Churchill Downs and looks capable of a big run if she is sharp enough after four months off the track. ABOVE THE LIMIT bolted up by an easy six lengths last time out and if she remains in that form she may well be able to double up, though Talent Expected and Privately will both hope to have a say.

IGNITION KEY has made a solid start to her racing career and further progression may not be necessary in order to land this contest. Bella Gabriella and Fort Zanna can follow her home.

Solid claims can be made for most of the runners in this field, with the unexposed HE'S ON THE LINE narrowly favoured to land the spoils. There are plenty of dangers, though, including Whale Of A Ride and Officer Appeal.

AT THE HALF's recent performance suggested she may be back to her best and the six-year-old can add another victory to her tally today. If she fails to fire, Make It A Double or Lady Licious can pick up the pieces.

Suspiros has proved he can go well at this level in the past and wasn't disgraced when runner-up last time out. He could get in to the mix at the finish, along with News Flash, who wasn't at his best last time but has placed in this grade twice already this year. Both can go well, but PALATIAL TIMES won cleverly last time out and may do so again upped a furlong with his trainer in great form.

Youthinkthatsfunny can go close in this company, but he has to find a couple of lengths with NO CHANGE on recent form, and that may be a struggle. Clear second best in a Stakes race, the suggestion ought to find this level far easier to cope with assuming he remains at the top of his game. Dreaming Of Gerry won well last time out, but that was a maiden and he may have to settle for a place.
